Allandale is a neighborhood located 6 miles north of downtown Austin. The neighborhood is bordered by Mopac on the west, Burnet Road on the east, West Anderson Lane to the north and 45th street to the south. highly regarded for its close proximity to central Austin, large, flat lots with mature trees. It was developed in the 1950s and is one of the first communities in the country to have air conditioning. Shoal Creek bisects the neighborhood.

Northcross Plaza on West Anderson Lane at the north end of Allandale has a handful of stores, restaurants and one of Alamo Drafthouse. If you are interested in other things to do both downtown Austin and the Domain are a mere 15 minutes away but in opposite directions. Downtown Austin offers restaurants, night life, museums, Austin bats on Congress Bridge, and many other activities. The Domain includes high end shopping, restaurants, night life and is right next door to Q2 stadium and the Austin FC MLS soccer team, Austin’s only professional major league sports franchise.
