Welcome to Cedar Park

Cedar Park, Texas is situated on the northern border of Austin and just 17 miles from downtown.  The city is named for an actual park that was a rail stop in the late 1800s and it was incorporated as a city in 1973.  Cedar Park is the third largest city in the Austin metropolitan area and has been consistently ranked one of the top 20 Fastest Growing Cities the U.S. by the U.S. Census Bureau during the past ten years.

Cedar Park has many options for dining and shopping.  The following are only some of the available options the area has to offer.

A few of the best dining option are local area restaurants Blue Corn Harvest Bar & Grill, C.R. Surf & Turf, Dos Salsas, Soto Japanese Restaurant & Sushi Bar, the Grove Wine Bar & Kitchen there are also Texas based restaurants and of course national chains as well.

Cedar Park is home to one of four Costco stores in the Austin area and it is the largest.  Costco Town Center, The Parke, Presidio and The Bell District are a few of the top shopping centers in Cedar Park, offer retail, restaurants and entertainment for residence and visitors alike.

Entertainment & Things to Do

The highlight of Cedar Park is the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park.  It’s a rare venue to have in a city the size of Cedar Park and brings attractions and entertainment right to your backyard.  The minor league affiliates of the San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Stars play their home games there.  Events and concerts by the likes of George Strait, the Professional Bull Riders Tour, Disney on Ice and many more have performed, and it is also the site for a handful of area high school graduation ceremonies.

Cedar Park has numerous parks and natural attractions.  It’s home to 1,000 acres of park space and 30 miles of trails to enjoy.  One of the most popular being the Brushy Creek Regional Trail.  Lakeline Park is set to open in 2023 with more than 200 acres and 3 miles of trails around the lake which will provide kayaking, fishing as well as multi-purpose fields and pavilions.

The Fieldhouse at the Crossover and Splash Shack are just a couple other Cedar Park options to stay active and have fun with the family.

Cedar Park is about 10 miles from Lake Travis which offers a variety of parks and attractions to enjoy the lake and beautiful Hill Country.

Schools

Cedar Park is located in the Leander Independent School District and was recently awarded the 13th best school district in Texas and 2nd best in the Austin area by Niche.com. The school district covers Cedar Park, Leander and part of Austin.  There are also a handful of private elementary and middle schools in Cedar Park as well as Summit Christian Academy and Lake Travis STEM Academy which service K-12.
