Great Hills

Great Hills Austin, Texas is located in the northwest part of Austin. It has become a coveted neighborhood for families and young professionals as the community is home to hilly, tree-filled terrain, scenic views, and a wide variety of homes that range from apartments to Texas-size mansions.

Another big draw for Great Hills is access to some of the best schools in the city. Residents may have to contend with bad rush-hour traffic, but commute times are lower than many other parts of the city due to the many major employers found in the area. Once home, you can relax in relative seclusion away from the hustle and bustle of our ever-growing city.

Unsurprisingly, the lush landscape is home to several nice parks. The aptly named Great Hills Park covers 80-plus acres and includes a 1.7-mile hiking trail, a playscape and covered pavilion, picnic tables, exercise equipment, and more. A short drive away, residents can access the 48-acre Bull Creek District Park.

Golf and tennis enthusiasts are fans of the easy access to Great Hills Country Club, a members-owned club, is home to a challenging 18-hole course. Members can also play tennis on one of eight courts, swim laps in the junior Olympic-size pool, lift weights at the fitness center, or dine on fish tacos in the clubhouse.

There is also plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby with the Arboretum and Domain shopping centers a short drive away. With big-name, like Whole Foods, Restoration Hardware, Neiman Marcus and Louis Vuitton there are numerous opportunities to shop many of Austin and Texas' best retailers. After an afternoon shopping restaurants like Velvet Taco, Perry's Steakhouse and Truluck's give you the chance to unwind and enjoy great food.
